About the event
This session is free of charge. Please book a ticket to confirm your attendance. Appreciate too your commitment to make it!
The innovation gap in the pharmaceutical industry is evident, while for decades we’ve thrown every possibly technological solution at it.
Where’s the mistake we are making?
Are the R&D organizations built to solve the problem or part of it?
During this event we will be looking at facts (the innovation gap) and the causes and correlations.
Debunking some of the often heard causes which actually maybe misinterpreted correlations and lastly, the human factor: how do we make decisions on complex issues with minimal information and time / financial pressures?
Dissecting the current information at hand and suggesting a different way of thinking we will open up a discussion amongst the wide range of expertises in the HCD group in an attempt to answer a fundamental question on our current R&D design and decision making.
Agenda:
a. Brief introduction to the innovation gap as a fundamental problem
b. Causes and correlations
c. Data and decisions
d. Solutions
...and last, why should you attend?!
Despite new technologies being hailed as the solution to the rather inefficient pharmaceutical R&D and many apostles claim they know how to salvage the pharmaceutical industry, numbers speak differently, and history repeats over and over. You will get a summary of a number of recent in depth analyses of the industry and (possible) causes. You will hear about some (provocative) ideas that are out there or are synthesized from my own experiences and thoughts.
Most importantly, using the broad and rich backgrounds of the HCD members we will have the chance to collectively go through some of the evidence and
interpretations and seek a better way forward for individuals as well as organizations.
Facilitated by our HCD member Peter Groenen - Translational Science and Biomarker Expert ¦ Thinker ¦ Technologist ¦ R&D Transformation Apostle ¦ Founder ¦ Lecturer.
